Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming a powerful tool for coaches, but knowing when, how, and whether to use it requires thoughtful judgment. This session offers a practical, coach-centered approach to AI adoption, helping participants assess the benefits, limitations, and ethical considerations of using AI in their coaching practice.
Participants will explore how different AI models, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini, can be used as personal assistants and thinking partners. The session highlights how to use these tools for coaching-related tasks such as preparation, reflection, content drafting, and administrative support.
A key focus of the session is effective prompting for desired outcome. Coaches will learn how to communicate with AI clearly and intentionally to generate more relevant, accurate, and ethical outputs, while maintaining confidentiality and professional judgment. The session cuts through the hype to provide grounded, real-world guidance coaches can use immediately.
Learning Objectives:
- Compare common AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) and identify appropriate use cases.
- Assess the benefits, limitations, and risks of using AI in a coaching context.
- Apply ethical and confidentiality considerations when using AI tools.
- Use AI as a personal assistant to support coaching workflows without replacing the coaching relationship.
- Write and refine effective prompts to improve clarity, relevance, and usefulness of AI outputs.
- Make informed, intentional decisions about when AI adds value and when it does not.
