On Tuesday, July 14 from 6:30pm–8:00pm PT, join presenter Patrick Dimoh, ACC for our July Chapter Meeting, “Accountability.” In this interactive session, participants will explore the importance of accountability and its role in coaching, personal growth, unlocking potential, and progressing forward on personal goals.

 

Engage in open discussion, self-reflection exercises, coaching demonstrations, and breakout conversations designed to explore accountability in real time while connecting those ideas back to ICF Core Competencies and client growth. Register here.

 

 

 

Our July Lunch & Learn, “Leveraging Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i 2.0) to Deepen ICF Coaching Competencies” with presenter David Cory, PCC, will be held Wednesday, July 15 from 12:00pm–1:00pm PT. Great coaching creates insight but lasting change requires more. Many coaches find that while clients gain awareness, they often struggle to translate that into consistent action.

 

This session explores how emotional intelligence, through the EQ-i 2.0 model, helps bridge that gap. Grounded in the ICF Core Competencies, it offers a practical way to better understand the emotional patterns driving client behavior and how to work with them in real time. Register here.

 

 

 

Join your fellow ICF Sacramento coaches July 18–19 for alpine water, mountain air, campfires, and community for our Field Trip to Emerald Bay State Park near Lake Tahoe, one of the most breathtaking locations in the Sierra Nevada.

 

Whether you come for a few hours or spend the weekend, this field trip is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty that exists right in our own backyard. Our next Core Competency Series meeting is Thursday, July 23 from 6:00pm–7:00pm PT. Join speaker Carmen Perry, PCC, CPC monthly through October, with each month focusing on a different ICF Core Competency. 

Rather than treating core competencies as checklists, participants will be invited to thoughtfully explore them as living practices that shape presence, relationship, and impact in their coaching. Register here.

 

 

 

Registration ends July 31 for our next round of Peer Coaching, which begins August 5. 

This program is designed to support your development and certification goals in a collaborative setting with flexible scheduling. You'll build peer relationships and forge meaningful connections through mutually-supportive learning and shared experiences as you practice applying ICF Core Competencies.

In our Reciprocal Coaching program, you'll enhance your skills by participating as both a coach and a client over the course of 12 weeks. Earn 6.0 CCEUs in Core Competencies and 6 reciprocal coaching hours that count toward certification. Register here.

In our three-session Coaching Triad program, you’ll meet once a week for 90 minutes, rotating to a different role each week (Coach, Client, and Observer). Earn 1.5 CCEUs in Core Competencies and 1 reciprocal coaching hour that counts toward certification. Register here.

 

 

 

Next Monday, July 13 from 11:30am–12:30pm PT, join us for a New(ish) Member/Associate Welcome Meeting. This is a great place to meet other coaches, share thoughts, and ask questions about membership, our chapter, or coaching in general. ICF Sacramento is pleased to partner with 3Strands Global Foundation for an upcoming Low Bono Coaching Opportunity for our members.

This opportunity will help make coaching more accessible to mission-driven professionals who may not otherwise have access to coaching, while creating meaningful development opportunities for coaches seeking paid coaching hours and real-world client experience.

We’re looking for coaches who feel called to support this work and would value the opportunity to grow through meaningful client practice. Coaches must be available for the coaching engagement from July 2026 through January 2027 and conduct coaching sessions via remote video call.

Complete our Coach Interest Form no later than July 14 to receive an invitation to join us on Zoom for a coach kick-off meeting. Additional details will be shared during the meeting, and coaches will be invited to confirm their participation afterward.

Together, we can expand access to coaching for mission-driven professionals doing important work in our community.
