It may not feel quite like Fall yet, with the recent triple digit temperatures and all, but it’s just around the corner.
First, I want to make sure you know about the in-person networking mixer on Friday October 14th. This event will take place at Zinfandel Grille in Sacramento, and tickets are available now on the events calendar. The mixer will be a great chance to meet fellow members, share about your coaching work, and meet with friends, new and old. Be sure to get your ticket early (both because this is an event you won’t want to miss, and also because… we need the total for catering by the end of Sept).
Fall is also our annual board member election season, and ballots will go out next month. Your participation in the process is important to us.
Our associate membership director, Angela Lindley (pictured with with me, above), shares that being on the board has helped her give back to the profession of coaching in a highly meaningful way: “Not only do I get to be around other coaches, which I love, but I’m spending my time growing as a professional and supporting an organization I believe in.” Angela is a naturally empathetic person who says the formal training through ICF has helped her hone her abilities and live deeper into her purpose.
Please check out the full newsletter for additional, exciting, Fall programs and events. For instance, we are bringing back the coaching supervision mastermind program this year, hosted by two of our board members: Laurie Cozart, MCC, and Gavan Ambrosini, PCC.
We look forward to seeing you this Fall!

Ignite Pro Bono Coaching Update
A big THANK YOU to the 21 ICF Sacramento volunteers who coached clients from Sacramento State University’s Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership!
We are excited about the positive impact we have made with leaders who are transforming education. If you are interested in participating in 2023 coaching engagements, the Ignite Coach Volunteer Form will be sent via email later this year.
Our coaching engagements with the CA Partnership to End Domestic Violence staff are still underway. Client feedback will be shared in the November newsletter.
Here are a few client comments from our end-of-coaching survey for Sac State:
“My confidence has sky-rocketed and I now have a great career path laid out.”
“Coaching helped me . . . build my linked in profile and learn how to connect with publishers for my upcoming book.”
“My coach took great care to keep our sessions on track. She was clear in her role. I was able to focus on what I said I needed. Her methods were outstanding!”
When asked about the ripple effect of what they gained in coaching and the impact on their organization, clients noted these areas most often:
· Employee engagement
· Constituents served better and more fully
· Progress towards organization’s/department’s metrics/goals
