Greetings ICF Sacramento Coaches and Community!
I’m looking forward to serving this year as your President and connecting monthly through these short newsletter messages.
You’ll get to know me as I muse about the things that inspire, motivate, and move me and hopefully I’ll get to know you through your messages, feedback and conversations.
I’m currently reading Surrender by Bono (the front man of the 80’s rock band, U2). I’m paraphrasing, but in a related interview he shared that everything (and everyone) he and the band needed to be successful were always with them abroad, as they toured, or in Dublin, while at home. I’d like to think that YOU TOO have in this Chapter all that you need to be successful as a coach.
My goal this year is to help make connections to the programs and people you need, wherever you are in your coaching journey. We have some great resources and loving hearts here within the ICF Sacramento Chapter that are ready to serve.
This being January and an epic one of rain and snow, I’ve had the fortune of spending time snowshoeing and cross-country skiing across some beautiful fresh snow. When I was laying down my tracks it occurred to me that the snow from the night before created a clean slate for the day and that the next snow would cover any blemishes I was currently making. I was reminded of the NOW, of living in the moment. I know many of us are making big plans for the year and thinking of all we will accomplish, but I’d also like to encourage you to make your fresh tracks in the snow TODAY.
Please reach out to me at president@icfsacramento.org. I’d love to hear from you!
