What happens when coaching moves beyond the chair? Experiential coaching - coaching while engaging in a physical or embodied activity - creates powerful opportunities for insight, awareness, and real-time learning.

In this Lunch & Learn, participants will explore what experiential coaching is, why it works, and how to thoughtfully create programs that integrate movement, environment, and action.

This session blends inspiration with practical guidance, supporting coaches who are curious about expanding their offerings while staying aligned with ICF competencies, ethics, and professional standards.

What We’ll Explore

Defining Experiential Coaching
Gain clarity on what experiential coaching is, with examples of coaching integrated with movement, nature, or other physical activities.

Why Coaching in Action Works
Explore the role of embodiment, environment, and metaphor in supporting client awareness and insight. Learn how coaching "in motion" can deepen presence, learning, and transformation.

Designing an Experiential Coaching Program
Walk through the foundational steps of creating an experiential offering, including generating and refining your program idea; aligning the activity with coaching outcomes; structuring coaching experiences with intention; and determining scope, format, and client readiness.

Logistics, Ethics & Risk Management
Understand the practical considerations that support safe and professional experiential coaching, including logistics and accessibility; contracts, informed consent, and boundaries; insurance and liability basics; and ethical considerations and scope of practice.

Getting Started with Confidence
Identify simple ways to experiment with experiential coaching, pilot programs, and next steps for bringing these ideas into your own practice.

This Lunch & Learn is ideal for coaches who are curious about experiential, embodied, or nature-based coaching, and who want practical guidance for creating programs that are professional and effective.
