Research has shown that professional coaching can help you make quantum leaps in your personal and professional life, yet until you experience it, it is hard to understand how. We are hosting a panel so that you can meet coaches from many different backgrounds (internal and external) as well as their clients to get a better understanding of what coaching is, the many ways it can be used, and what coaching as a career is like. If you have questions about coaching, come join us to get an in-depth view from multiple perspectives, and get answers as to how it works and what it’s like.

From 11:00 to 12:30 -

External Coaching – What it is like to work with an external coach

When done right coaching can help you in every area of life. Learn what to look for in a coach, what you can expect in a session and over the course of the coaching agreement, as well as tips and tricks to get the most out of a coaching session.

In our first panel, we will be focusing on external coaching and the different niches that are available. An external coach is someone that an individual hires to help improve a specific area of their life. There are so many people out there who call themselves coaches, so how do you know who to hire? We will discuss how to find the “right coach” for you, help you understand how coaching works and what you can expect, while also giving you tips on how you can get the most out of working with a coach. You will also hear from past clients so you hear their firsthand experience.

From 12:30-1:30

Internal Coaching – What it is like to work with an internal coach

Our second panel of the day will focus on how coaching works when it is performed within an organization. Internal coaches work in a company as either an employee or contractor with the intention of improving some aspect of operations. Depending on the intended goals coaches may work with employees and/or leadership to help individuals increase performance, personal wellbeing, or resolve conflict, among other things.

Coaching has the opportunity to shift culture, increase engagement, decrease cost, and increase revenue. You will hear from internal coaches, management, and employees. Internal coaching can create win-wins for all parties involved. If your company doesn’t offer coaching bring the decision-makers to this conversion. Coaching’s ROI is both quantifiable and immeasurable.

From 1:30 to 2:30

What Coaching is a like as a career

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to become a coach? As the world comes out of the pandemic and coaching becomes more mainstream, the need for well-trained coaches is increasing. We will be having a conversation about what it's like to work as a coach. If you are the person everyone goes to for support or if you’ve always wanted to help people, or you long for a career that invigorates and fulfills you, coaching may be a dream come true and Session 3 is for you.

The great thing is that the core competencies of coaching can be used in any industry in many different ways; there is truly no one size that fits all. Coaching is a career that you can create the work experience and impact that you desire to have. We will have a panel of coaches from different industries discussing their experience and answering questions, to help you get an idea of some of the different possibilities that exist in coaching. We will share the things we love and the things that don’t so that you can get a realistic view of the profession to see if it is right for you. If you’ve been wanting to make a career change, come learn more about the expansive world of coaching.
