As a coach, you know you and your clients are at your best when you're living in ways that are aligned with your values. What most of us are not aware of (and what our research convincingly showed) is that we operate within two completely different value systems, core and acquired values. Core values are one's inherent values and intrinsic guiding principles, while acquired values are those we adopt along the way from outside sources, like our family, culture, and generation.

Unfortunately, when lacking awareness of the different value systems, we may be living each day attempting to align ourselves with values that are not even our own!

Join us to learn more about a scientifically-proven (and award-winning) coaching program that delves into the origins of our values. We'll share with you the results of the study, meaningful exercise, and key take-aways to help your clients shake off shackles from the past. 

You will learn how to help clients:

• Understand the difference between core values and acquired values
• Objectively assess if some values are holding them back
• Create new beliefs that better serve them
• Reduce their focus on acquired values, leading to greater health and wellbeing

Speaker Bio:

Laurie Cozart is a seasoned executive and brings mature perspective and broad expertise to leadership training, coaching and consulting. For more than 30 years Laurie has trained, coached and mentored emerging leaders, mid-level and senior executives in a wide range of industries including high tech, engineering, health care, medicine, education and government.

Laurie has been an Executive Coach and Leadership Development Instructor for the University of California at Davis Extension for over 7 years, and was the recipient of the UC Davis “Outstanding Service Award” for Inspiring a World of Learning.
