Hello Fellow Coaches and Friends of Sacramento

I am so grateful that, finally, we have some warm, sunny weather to enjoy. As I sat outside writing this letter to you all, it dawned on me that I am halfway through my term as President, and it saddens me as to how fast it seems to be going. There are so many things I want to get done that will make you proud. The board and I have been working on exciting things for our Chapter thus creating a vision that will pull us forward and sets the Chapter up for 2020 and beyond.

Get Involved and Volunteer

Help us make 2019 great! Interested in being involved with the Chapter leadership? We’re always looking for volunteers to help with events or more long-term with the Board. Our Chapter operates with a Board of Directors who meet the last Monday of each month via a Zoom video conference call. If you have specific experience like program planning, public relations, marketing, administration or social media, or would like to stretch your leadership skills and help drive strategic direction for the chapter we are in search of a Director of Public Relations, Director of Professional Development and a Director of Administration Assistance (Secretary). Expired Members Will Be Dropped June 5

On June 5, ICF will deactivate any member whose membership expired on March 31, 2019 and who has not yet renewed. Expired Members can reinstate their ICF memberships by visiting coachfederation.org/renew-membership. Your local chapter memberships will expire too, please click here to renew. We don't want you to miss out on any of your benefits as a member.

Chapter Board Members are expected to maintain an ICF Global Membership.

Note: If an ICF Member has already renewed or joined as a new member in 2019, their ICF Membership will not expire until March 31, 2020.

Credential Holders Update

459: ICF Credential applications approved in May 2019

In May, ICF launched a new software platform designed to make it easier than ever for coaches to apply for and renew their credentials. With the new platform, coaches are able to: initiate and access a credential application or renewal application via their profile on the ICF website; complete applications over time, instead of all at once; monitor application status in real time; and begin logging CCEs toward renewal at any time after earning a credential. Part of the re-credential requirement is 3 CCEU's in Ethics. Here is a free course ICF Global is offering to meeting the requirements. https://coachfederation.org/ethics-cce-course. Coleen Chandler, our newly appointed Credential Officer, will be reaching out to the coaches whose credential expires in December 2019 to provide assistance with the Global process. She will be sending out an e-mail in June with more details.
