The flowers are starting to bud, new leaves are emerging, and I have resumed taking a full dose of allergy medication daily. It’s almost Spring.
On the board we are planning when the best time to plant the seeds of new projects may be. So many goals and ideas are on the table. Everything feels like it's going to be here soon, but not quite yet.
As we prepare to build for the rest of the year, we want to reach out to see who might be interested in volunteering with various projects and programs. Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet more people, amplify impact, and even get a window into what being on the board could be like.
Steve Matthews (pictured with me, above) is coordinating a volunteer outreach effort to share ways that members can get more involved this year. I feel so fortunate to have his dedication and enthusiasm on the presidents’ team. Steve is also a great example of volunteerism, himself. In addition to his official role (president-elect) he is also one of our volunteer Ignite program coaches. He told me he is inspired to stretch further in alignment with his word of the year, “exploration.” On a personal note, he has some pretty intense coastal bike rides coming up this month, and a triathlon in July!
The March lunch and learn is a great place to come and chat about what projects are underway, and how you can get involved. We hope to see you there (and at all of the programs this month)! Be sure to read the full newsletter to see what’s coming up just around the corner.

I recently sat down with Tracy Kriess, ACC, and owner of TransitionMuse - a leadership coaching firm based in Sacramento, California. Click here to watch our interview and learn more about Tracy’s experiences as an ICF coach.
You may know Tracy from her role as the Sacramento Chapter’s Program Manager for the global Ignite Initiative. When Tracy’s not working to help Sacramento’s current and future leaders be “more conscious leaders”, you can likely find her reading, learning new things, or spending time in nature hiking, exploring and traveling.

International Coaching Week (ICW)
Each year the goal of ICW is to increase awareness of the positive impact coaching creates in the world. This year, our focus is how coaching can help Reimagine the Future and be the catalyst for positive changes as we move through all that has happened in the past two years.
Last year our chapter events connected with people from 20 countries around the globe and provided 65 laser coaching sessions, allowing many participants to experience coaching for the first time. In 2022 we are looking forward to offering this life-changing opportunity to even more people, and we need your help to do that!
If you are passionate about helping get the word out and expand coaching's reach, join us on May 22nd to provide laser coaching to people from around the world. More details are to follow, but for now, please block off two dates in your calendar; April 27th, 11:30 am-1 pm (laser coach training), and May 22nd, 10 am-1 pm (ICW coaching event).
Thank you for all you do and for helping change the world, one client at a time!

If you obtained your credential after May 2019, your credential expires three years after your award date, on the last day of the month. For example: If your credential award date is August 8, 2019, your expiration date is August 31, 2022.

All COVID-19 exceptions were lifted on January 1, 2022
We are back to the standard requirements to obtain or upgrade a credential. Pro bono hours are now back to 25 (ACC), 50 (PCC) and 250 (MCC) hours.

Due to an unprecedented surge of applications, ICF Global is taking 16-18 weeks to review applications. Please plan ahead and practice patience.
