Find a Coach
Date: 6/13/2022
Subject: ICF Sacramento Newsletter - June 2022
From: Rebecca A Lachona

President's Message

It’s June!  This month we celebrate a successful International Coaching Week (thanks again to Katie Kanowski, Sarah Collins, and everyone who helped out!) and being at the midpoint of our board year.

To keep us energized and focused, our ICF board is dedicating June to strategic planning. This will include a review of our chapter bylaws, led by Director-at-Large, Phil Mancini.

Phil comes to us with a unique skills set for this project, given his 25+ years in law enforcement, and public administration. Now, as a coach and trainer, Phil likes diving into strengths, values, and belief systems to find connections and set goals. He finds other people working toward their own self-empowerment is both humbling and inspiring.

We are lucky to have Phil’s expertise in guiding this review (and his willingness to volunteer for… let’s be realnot our most glamorous project). Thank you, Phil, and our bylaws team!

Be sure to check out the rest of the newsletter for upcoming events, cafe connections, and member spotlights!  We invite you to fill out the form (below) if you’d like to be featured.

Ignite Pro Bono Coaching Update

Thank you to the 43 chapter members who are providing pro bono coaching to 83 clients from our partner organizations:

  • Sacramento State University’s Doctoral Program in Education

  • The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence

We are mid-way through our Sac State project and 88% of clients had never experienced coaching before, yet 94% would recommend coaching to others. Here are a few things clients have said about their coaching experiences:

“Her approach allowed me to reflect on my self-imposed barriers and explore possible career pathways while empowering me to revisit my strengths and my why.”

“[Their] probing truly helped me to confront and address the areas I wanted to resolve.”

“She has helped me articulate priorities and consider alternatives during a key time of professional growth and development.”

We look forward to sharing more client feedback with you in July!  Please contact Tracy Kreiss with any questions.
